Using an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) is crucial when performing CPR because it can significantly increase the chances of survival for someone experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. An AED is able to analyze the heart rhythm and deliver a shock if necessary to restore a normal heartbeat. This can be a lifesaving intervention that is often necessary in conjunction with CPR to effectively treat cardiac arrest. Without the use of an AED, the chances of survival decrease significantly. Therefore, it is essential to have access to an AED and be trained in how to use it properly when performing CPR.

Course Overview:

This traditional in-person course utilizes instructor-led interactive materials, videos, and equipment that walks you through every single step of applying first aid, the steps to evaluate a non-responsive victim and administering chest compression, responding to a choking victim, and using an AED, for adults and children, including infants, and your role as an emergency responder. After completion of the in-person training, you will then proceed to the final hands-on assessment with a certified First Aid and CPR instructor.

Block cost is $5.00. This is the standard cost for booking the block. Each block can range from 1 to 2 hours, depending on the amount of participants in the booked block. A block is used to book for one individual or household. That time belongs to you. Please note, refunds will be given in full if the booking is cancelled more than 2 hours before start time. If the booking is cancelled within 2 hours of the start time, a refund will be issued back to the purchaser minus the $5.00 cost for the block. Any additional fees added (such as block costs for mobile services) will also be deducted if cancellation was made within 1 hour of start time.
